After being on the road seeing players up close at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, watching hours of All-22 practice footage of the East-West Shrine Bowl, watching the NFL Scouting Combine, and talking to players, coaches, and personnel from all three events, it’s time to share my unfiltered thoughts. To me, this is a much better draft class than it’s being given credit for. Admittedly, the quarterback class has not shaped up the way I’d previously hoped given some of the raw talent the prospects possess, it’s still an intriguing class overall.
A common sentiment shared from all the conversations I’ve had is that the “high-end talent” isn’t there for this class, but there are a lot of starters. In my opinion, the only thing more valuable than uber talented prospects is prospects that are ready to contribute immediately. I believe the chase for the next undeniable prospect may cloud people’s perception of how hard it is to find an above average starter, at any position. If this draft class is seemingly loaded with those at nearly every position group, how would it not be a great pool?
I digress, I’m happy to be back and in the thick of draft season and cannot wait to share more. Here’s the 2025 NFL Draft Rankings 2.0.
