5 Free Coaching Clinics Pt 2
Well, we’re here again. Football is officially over and we’re diving headfirst into the offseason. No more mid week college fixes into Thursday Night Football. Our beloved Friday-Sunday night binges are also in the can for the next six months. So, what do we do? We find a way to stay in the game & learn something. Spring ball for the college fans and free agency for the NFL crowd will be here soon enough. But until then, here’s some fun content to dive into.
Last year, I gave you five free coaching clinics to watch in order to improve general football knowledge, team building, & some higher level schematic offerings. This year, we’ll be following a similar tune, but focusing on field fundamentals & scheme philosophy. You hear it all the time from football coaches and players, but one of the most beautiful parts of the game is in the “process.” The simple, mundane tasks that are often the most tedious to go through (and teach) are the very things that build a championship foundation.

Something as simple as offensive line board drills in individual period is arguably the most important section of practice for the group. Everything positive that group will do in practice and on Saturday’s in the game starts from the same place as those drills. The inverse true as well - usually when there’s mistakes made or technique issues, it can be traced back to those individual drills. Hearing a coach from a National Championship winning team explain why something as simple as board drills are so important can offer a new lens to view the game through that you may have never considered.
Disclaimer: While not all of these are the full videos from the clinics that will need to be purchased in order to watch in full, these free portions do a fantastic job of explaining the basics and the heart of the topics. This will give you a proper base to either delve further into these one bye one, or at the very least be able to identify and retain the desired entry level knowledge. The abridged versions also create convenience to where you can knock these all out within a few hours if you so desire.
